Henry Parrish is a 6th Generation Floridian and lifelong resident of Brevard County. He was born in Rockledge, raised in Cocoa, and graduated from Rockledge High School.
The Parrish Family is one of Florida's Pioneer families, arriving in 1823, helping to settle Central Florida. Henry's family built a large citrus business and spearheaded legislation which created modern day Port Canaveral.
Henry was elected Mayor of Cocoa in 2012 and won re-election in 2016. He has worked tirelessly to reduce crime, enhance infrastructure, and encourage economic development. Since becoming Mayor, Henry has presided over a 35% reduction in crime, invested $100 million into infrastructure, and Cocoa has enjoyed a resurgence of economic growth. |
